Trendy seafood food spot with both indoor and outdoor seating (and a bar at both), and a bunch of drink options I came here with my GF for dinner on a Friday night. It was not packed, but it was very loud even though we were sitting outside We loved our dinks and the fries that came with our sandwiches, but we both thought that the actual sandwiches themselves were pretty mediocre Service was a little slow, but the waiter was very friendly

Came here for happy hour to celebrate a friend's new job. The happy hour deals are decent but when the weather is nice the patio fills up quickly. The views are top notch. The service was fine, I tried to close out after ordering some food but the server wouldn't let me until after my food arrived, so I ended up having to wait to close out a second time which was a little annoying but all in all not that big of a deal. As far as food, we got an order of fries (10/10) and Brussels sprouts which were good but swimming in maple syrup so were a bit on the sweeter side for me. Would've preferred a drizzle rather than a pool at the bottom. Also a side of fries and a side of Brussels sprouts were $25 so keep that in mind. (Not HH prices)

My boyfriend and I wanted seafood (cold brisk day in April ), and he suggested The Salt Line, which is located at the Waterfront (almost adjacent to the Nationals ballpark). There was a ball game going on, so there was a crowd outside as well as inside. Bonfires were provided for people who sat outside, the game was projected for sports fans, and many people chose to eat inside and take in the Anacostia River basin. This restaurant is perfect for seafood, small salads and soups, and the oyster bar menu is wonderful if you want to sample local oysters from the DMV. Service was impeccable; no long wait for our food with the ongoing crowd from the day's baseball game. All the food we ordered was fresh, and so delicious! This restaurant would be a vibe when the weather decides to warm up. Must try menu items: NE Clam Chowder, Portuguese Stew, and Belle de Jour Oysters (from oyster bar). Honorable Mention: Cherry Blossom Old Fashioned (may be limited to Cherry Blossom Festival theme in March-April, but check with restaurant)

My recent visit to The Salt Line in DC offered a pleasant dining experience with fresh seafood and picturesque views. Wait staff was great considering we were such a large group. The seafood, overall, was fresh and well-prepared. The king crab stood out with its succulent meat, while the crispy skin rockfish was cooked to perfection. However, I was disappointed by the limited selection of fried fish, as only catfish was available, which I'm not a fan of. On the appetizer front, the Parkerhouse rolls with Chesapeake butter were a hit, and the baked pimento crab dip added a flavorful kick to the meal.the oyster shooters and oysters were killer! Unfortunately, the cocktails didn't quite meet expectations, but they didn't detract significantly from the overall experience. In conclusion, The Salt Line offers a decent seafood dining experience with scenic views, although there are some areas for improvement, particularly in the cocktail selection.

As someone from CT the Salt Line feels a bit like a home away from home. The Oysters were great and the lobster roll was made CT style which I love! And my boyfriend enjoyed his Roast Beef Sandwich. While their outside wasn't open because it was pretty chilly I look forward to going back and enjoying a drink near the water.
